So I found out why my radio.blog died. Apparently it implodes when subjected to Adobe Flash 10. Figures. Took me a big chunk of the day to discover that all these magic work-arounds that other radio.blog users have tried only work if you have a secret gypsy friend. No offense to any gypsies reading this, you rock! ;-) Since I am not fortunate enough to have gypsy folk in my apartment, I had to install another player. This one doesn’t put the most recent mp3 at the top of the playlist, so I had to jury-rig it. I labeled the 5 most recent mp3s (the 5 posts on the front page) with asterisks; 5 stars being most recent. One good thing about this player is that it actually plays the regular mp3 as opposed to radio.blogs lower quality rbs files.

Speaking of music, Michael Jackson, alleged Pop King, passed away on Friday. Despite all the controversy in his later life, it’s still sad. I, like many, love his music. You can’t mistake his voice and style anywhere. I’m not a die-hard fan, but I do watch him in the media, like anyone else. When I observe him, I think of the South Park parody episode. Yeah, they made fun of him, but they also made a strong point that stuck with me. He may have done questionable things in his life, but look at the underlying person. Although he has millions of fans, many of his actions seem to be done out of loneliness. Every time I see him, no matter how many people are around, he seems lost. I think he never completely grew up, and didn’t quite know how to act about it. That obviously doesn’t justify some of the things he’s done, but the Pop King is still gone. If you don’t mourn the man, at least mourn the little boy he once was or his music…
