version 02 : Outlaw
July 08 – August 09

Lurve this layout… too bad browsers didn’t seem to. It looks awesome in Photoshop, though ;) It was up for a long time due to my real life sabbatical, but that’s what happens to grown-ups some times. This layout features Nami, Zoro and Sanji from Oda Eichiro’s One Piece.


version 01 : Shine
September 07 – July 08

Va1kyrie.net’s first layout! Like Majinblue.net, it’s first layout was Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne by Tanemura Arina. This layout gives off a sparkly feeling, hence the name. I also discovered that Safari doesn’t display my colors right :cry: but Firefox does!

version 18 : RGB
August 07 – February 08

Two CLAMP layouts in a row… This layout features Hikaru, Umi and Fuu from Magic Knight Rayearth. The name RGB comes from the color mode and stands for Red Green Blue, appropriate for the trio, each represented by one of those three colors. I enjoyed making this layout and messing with the patterns. Too bad the site never saw any more updates after it was loaded. Bad Dream Host! :evil:


version 17 : Rainy
June 07 – August 07

Cardcaptor Sakura! I felt like a warm and fuzzy layout and this was another one of those pictures sitting on the back burner just waiting for it’s turn. I like the way it looked, but it originally looked much cooler. I had a cool gradient background and a footer, but I couldn’t make them work for the life of me so they were scrapped. Oh well. It also took me a bit to realize that the graphic part was huge. It looked fine in my resolution (1680 x 1050), but you had to scroll a ways down to actually view any content in lower resolutions. Oops. :P


version 16 : Rage
January 07 – June 07

This was the last layout I made on my Dell. Despite the name of the layout, I wasn’t in a rage when I made this. The name is for the picture of Inuyasha. I looove that pic. I apparently loved it enough to use someone else’s fanart in my layout. I had no way of finding out the artist’s identity, since that thing has been circulating for quite some time. I’m also sure that I’m not the first one to use it in a layout. Well, wherever the artist is, I salute you and will credit you if I find out.


version 15 : Specter
October 06 – January 07

What better for halloween that vampires? I was (and still am) on a Vampire knight kick and the timing was great, so there it was. Not the best layout I’ve ever done, but there it is. ;P


version 14 : Halation
August 06 – October 06

I’ve never had a yellow layout before, so I thought it was about time I made one. The harvest moon always was a beautiful yellowish orange that inspired me. Of course I had to star Sailormoon in it. This was the first layout that I purposely blended the character and the background. The title of the layout was a natural. Moon Princess Halation!


version 13 : SPeeD
February 06 – August 06

The name fits the layout very well I think. It features none other than Uzumaki Naruto from Konohagakure. I actually got the idea from an issue of Monthly Shonen Jump (the American version). The blue color really brings out his eyes. I got a little creative when it came to the main focus character positioning. I think it looks better when he’s hanging off the layout, don’t you? I think it’s one of my best. *evil grin*


version 12 : Daybreak
December05 – February 06

My first layout with a colored background. Very elegant. I been wanting another shot at a Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne layout, since the first never really got off the ground. I’ve wanted to do something with that image ever since I first saw it, and when I decided to make an elegant purple layout, this was a shoo in. I was very pleased with this, even if I was rushed to build it. I made it at home in Alaska, making this the first good layout I’ve made myself at home. Hopefully it won’t be the last. It was difficult to make because I had to sqeeze it around Christmas shopping. I’ve come to the conclusion that right aligned layouts are a pain in the butt even though they look cool.;P


version 11 : Jingle
Christmas 05

Merry Christmas! It was hard to find a Holiday picture of an anime that wasn’t all grainy or had text on it. It was almost another Fullmoon wo Sagashite, but I had just had one up the layout before last. I didn’t want to do a snow scene because I was going for a warm feeling. I finally found Dejiko from Digi Charat. I had a lot of fun making the background. Stars and sparkles abound. This is the only time of year that you can get away with such a clashing color combination;)


version 10 : Owari Nai
October 05 – December 05

My Inuyasha Layout! I had fun playing with this fella. I needed something to lift my spirits. I had always wanted to use this image, but both versions I had cut off and were of different size and quality. I ended up combining them in a sort of reverse perspective. Then to combat the differing quality, I gave it a retro look with gradients. Also, my first venture with one of my favorite colors: orange. Lively is the word I would use to describe it.


version 9 : Eternal Snow
September – October 05

I really liked this layout. Very pretty. It was the first I made with a shoujo manga image. Not as easy to manipulate as a solid outlined character. This features Fullmoon from Full Moon wo Sagashite. This is also the first time I had to deal with the resolution issue on my new laptop. It needed to be centered to look good, but not many had a wide screen at the time. It had to be made using tables so it would be centered on any screen. After spending a couple of days trying to figure out how to accomplish this, I made it. Of course, the one time I forgot to check it in Firefox (I hadn’t installed it on the new system yet) the allignment was off. After it was worked out *hugs Rosey from LEIA* it was never completely alligned again. I got frustrated whenever I looked at it, so it only lasted a little over a month. I’m noticing that the time between layout changes is shrinking.


version 8 : revolution
July – September 05

Take my revolution! This layout was ultra cool! The first time I had people actually posting in my guestbook because they liked it so much. This layout features Tenjou Utena from Shoujo Kakumei Utena. I wanted to make a bishounen layout, but Utena plays that role really well, despite being a girl;) It was sitting in the back of my head for awhile as a possible layout, and it finally grabbed my creative whim. This is still my favorite layout to this day…


version 7 : Bullseye
June/July 05

My seventh Layout, featuring Rosette and Chrno from Chrno Crusade. Very bright, almost blinding. It has a fun feel that this sight just hadn’t had yet. I tried to code wordpress into it, but it just didn’t work>:{ Oh well, I’ll ry it again someday…


version 6 : freeze
spring 05

This one was just fun to make! It took me forever to decide what picture (and character for that matter) to use. It took for-ev-er. I am quite pleased with the result. The colors were what made me decide on the name. It just looks frozen. In fact, I almost called it version frozen instead. The bishounen is Tomite from Fushigi Yuugi. Oh how I hope they animate Genbu Kaiden! I want to see more of him:3

Winter/spring 05

My fifth Layout. Darkish, like all my others. I don’t like the light stuff as much on my sight. Pastel doesn’t really suit the domain name. Agreed? I like this layout. Finally got my Dragonball layout. Trunks is my all time fav anime guy. I have a mini shrine in my room… My first trip into grunge, somewhat. As you can see I didn’t do too many effects. Didn’t feel I needed it. Made up for that in version 6 ;)


version 4 : 3 Kings
Winter04

Fourth Layout. I made it. Coded, edited and enhanced. All me. I am extremely proud of this layout. It’s my baby. The image is from a volume of Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon Super of the Takeuchi Naoko fame. It features Sailors Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. Tennou, Kaiou and Meiou (Sky King, Sea King and Dead King) are the reason for the name 3 Kings.


version 3 : No More Tears

Third layout from Digital Rebirth. Yet another CLAMP layout, this time from Clover. I really like this one. I had spent days looking for the right layout and I knew this was the one when I saw it. This was also the last layout that wasn’t made by me.

First free layout from Spirit Designs, a pretty much defunct site. A shame as they had beautiful layouts. This layout features Chii from Chobits.

First layout I’ve ever made. I wasn’t really into publishing yet. The poor thing pretty much went unused. Not bad for my first try. This layout features Marron from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne.
