Halooo! So, I’ve diligently updated the site, with the exception of the blog! New layout in honor of the upcoming Inuyasha anime, I’m quite pleased with it, but it took hooouurs to get it how I liked it. After that, I stepped into the murky realm of sub-domains and streamlined my TCG pages. I installed a script that took forever for me to figure out, when it turned out to be a stupid mistyped filepath. :???: In the long run it will save a ton of time. I spent more time coding my tcg page than playing the games. Now with this script, I just load them into the folder and update the trading log. This has enabled me to join two more tcgs (Mystic and Moonlight Legend).

Also, Vivi has returned home from the Hawaii Animal Quarantine! She is adjusting well and Sophie really seems to like her. They make me so happy! I’m just sad that my vacation is over so I can’t spend as much time with my kitties anymore  Well, supposedly, we have a hurricane on the way. Maybe I can spend time with them if they cancel work. Like that would ever happen with my luck! I’ve nearly been in 3 hurricanes, but they always miss. I want free time off you cowardly hurricanes! (though I do not want to actually experience one, just have the time off ;-) ) HURRICANE FELICIA, I CHALLENGE YOU!

No! Not Billy Mays, too! Yes, it’s true. World renowned Lord of OxiClean died on Sunday at age 50. Must be something in the water. Good thing I drink Pepsi. A moment of silence please. He really was a charismatic guy. He only sold stuff that actually worked, kind of like a seal of approval. I heard he was really nice to random strangers and fans, too. The world of infomercials won’t be the same. Sham Wow kid has some big shoes to fill…

In other news: I joined the Divinity TCG today! It’s all about collecting anime and manga bishounen! A fangirls dream! I’m excited! I’m starting with the Santoryu deck (Roronoa Zoro from One Piece). That guy is a true bad-ass. Go check it out, and if you join, tell ‘em Anne sent ya. ;-)

On the home front, 25 days until Vivi gets out of Hawaii Animal Quarantine!! Or as I like to call it, kitty jail… (see sidebar for countdown) Poor baby! Sophie (my new kitten) needs someone to keep her in line! The furniture and my legs are all scratched up and the squirt bottle doesn’t work as well as Vivi in attack mode ;)

So I found out why my radio.blog died. Apparently it implodes when subjected to Adobe Flash 10. Figures. Took me a big chunk of the day to discover that all these magic work-arounds that other radio.blog users have tried only work if you have a secret gypsy friend. No offense to any gypsies reading this, you rock! ;-) Since I am not fortunate enough to have gypsy folk in my apartment, I had to install another player. This one doesn’t put the most recent mp3 at the top of the playlist, so I had to jury-rig it. I labeled the 5 most recent mp3s (the 5 posts on the front page) with asterisks; 5 stars being most recent. One good thing about this player is that it actually plays the regular mp3 as opposed to radio.blogs lower quality rbs files.

Speaking of music, Michael Jackson, alleged Pop King, passed away on Friday. Despite all the controversy in his later life, it’s still sad. I, like many, love his music. You can’t mistake his voice and style anywhere. I’m not a die-hard fan, but I do watch him in the media, like anyone else. When I observe him, I think of the South Park parody episode. Yeah, they made fun of him, but they also made a strong point that stuck with me. He may have done questionable things in his life, but look at the underlying person. Although he has millions of fans, many of his actions seem to be done out of loneliness. Every time I see him, no matter how many people are around, he seems lost. I think he never completely grew up, and didn’t quite know how to act about it. That obviously doesn’t justify some of the things he’s done, but the Pop King is still gone. If you don’t mourn the man, at least mourn the little boy he once was or his music…

Who is this? I have a web site?? I’m just a bit ashamed. But not enough to apologize. Huge changes in Anne’s world. Biggest ones at the moment: I am presently stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. And I’m a Staff Sergeant (SSgt) now. And an aunt. And have a second kitty. And I actually re-enlisted. Huh. All that and more in the span of a year. Now that most of it is over, I’ll finally have time and energy to work on this site again. First plan of attack: find out who killed my radio.blog and retribute them…

Well, Va1kyrie.net is now LIVE! Banzai! Banzai! Banzai! Everything that was on Majinblue and more is now on this domain. The last thing to be transfered was the Qbee page. The only reason that it was last is because I had to make a database for it. You would think all that transferring would be easy, but you would be wrong. Even if I got a code to look good at my old site, I still had problems over here. Oh well. More visitor content, too. (of the music kind)

Some new things in my life too. The very biggest thing is that my little brother (little meaning 26  ) is getting married! It’s exciting and I’m very happy for him! It’s still very weird to me, though. I can’t seem to wrap my mind around that fact. He hadn’t even met her that last time I was home which was Christmas. Mom says that she likes her, so that’s good enough for me. My mother is an excellent judge of character. I get to meet her when my family meets up in Florida in December. I’m excited. I’m also more nervous about what she’ll think of me as a sister-in-law. People I meet generally like me, but I’m only truly myself around my family. My family loves me, but I know I’m very eccentric and self-contained. It’s like all of a sudden I have a new adult immediate-family that I didn’t grow up around. I guess I’ll try to be myself without acting too anti-social. That being said, I don’t want her to feel left out either. I’ll have to try extra hard to include her. It’s funny, usually it’s the one marrying into the family that’s the most nervous.

Other news. After much struggle, we finally got an apartment reserved! It’s about a hundred bucks more than the last one that we tried to get, but it’s bigger and on the top floor with vaulted ceilings. They said it’s one of their best apartments. Our move in date is November 1st, and boy am I excited. No more living in a place that oughta be condemned. Just today, the hallway lights outside the apartment all stopped working. And I know it’s not the bulbs because it’s all of them and they were just changed a month ago. My roommate had to knock on the door because when she tried to unlock it, she couldn’t see. :???: It’s not safe in this kind of neighborhood. It’s not what I would call the ghetto or the slums, but it’s dirty and old and I don’t like going out after dark around here. It doesn’t help that I’m on the night rotation again. Think happy thoughts, Anne! Less than a month left until I move!
